CUC Goulburn in partnership with the University of Canberra will be running academic workshops to further support the students accessing the centre. These sessions are not exclusively for University of Canberra students but open to any university student from the Goulburn region.
The next session, on the 13th September from 10:30-12:30 will cover referencing and note taking, with an option for free drop in tutoring.
CUC Goulburn Centre Manager Ash Jones said:
“the drop in session will benefit students in so many ways. Both myself and Lara from study skills at UC will be available during this time, where students can bring assessments and get one-on-one support ”
The centre currently has had 88 registered students accessing the facilities for the year to date, with a further 60 students accessing the centre for research and application into courses since April.
Registered students are from 18 different university providers across Australia, with 40% of students being the first in their family to be working towards a university qualification. With health and education being the two leading disciplines among students.
All local students studying at an Australian university in the area are welcome to register to access the range of facilities on offer at CUC Goulburn, including the free drop-in tutoring on 13th September from 10:30am.
